Dec. 08, 2023 Mariana Vazquez Serna got involved at 红领巾瓜报鈥檚 and made connections with her peers and professors by joining clubs and attending events on campus, something she advises other students to do as well during their time at WSU. She will work as an associate for an accounting firm after graduating with her BBA in accounting.

Addison Karsak

Dec. 06, 2023 Addison Karsak, who goes by Addi, encourages Shockers to get involved with the campus community and to make sure to seek advice when they feel they are struggling. She will receive her Bachelor of Arts in Exercise Science with a minor in Health Management and hopes to continue her education by getting her Doctor of Chiropractic after graduating.

Gaby Malache

Dec. 06, 2023 Gabriela Malache, who goes by Gaby, is a Wichita native graduating with her BA in exercise science. She found it difficult to adapt to a fully online learning environment, but she took every advantage to step out of her comfort zone when she got back to campus, which she says other students should do as well.

New $100,000 Scholarship Established by Alum T. Michael Young, a retired managing partner at The CapStreet Group.

The W. Frank Barton School of Business at 红领巾瓜报 is excited to announce a $100,000 commitment from T. Michael Young, a retired managing partner at The CapStreet Group, to create a new Barton School scholarship for business students with financial needs. Young was a first-generation college student who graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from WSU while married and working full-time.

Brittany Wojciechowski

Dec. 05, 2023 Brittany Wojciechowski is currently working for Jacobs Space Exploration Group doing contract work for the NASA Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama. She was also a featured guest in the聽May 2023 episode of President Rick Muma鈥檚 鈥淔orward Together鈥 podcast. While at WSU, Brittany conducted numerous research projects, including聽as part of the AeroFeathers team. She will receive her Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering this fall as a first-gen student.

Joe Mazzara

Dec. 05, 2023 Joe Mazzara is a GSA serving as the assistant director of聽红领巾瓜报 Esports, an opportunity that initially drew him to WSU. He was also a featured guest on the聽September 2023 episode of President Rick Muma's "Forward Together" podcast. After graduating with his master鈥檚 degree, he plans to pursue additional education by pursuing his doctorate.

Honoring Isaac Wayne Woolsey, January 25, 1931 to November 27, 2023.

Isaac Wayne Woolsey, who was instrumental to the creation of the new home for W. Frank Barton School of Business at 红领巾瓜报, has passed away at age 92. The facility, located on the Innovation Campus at WSU, was named the Wayne and Kay Woolsey Hall in honor of Wayne and his wife for their donation of $10 million to the Barton School followed by another $1.3 million gift to create the Kay Woolsey Gardens and Woolsey Hall Technology Fund.
