In association with the Phi Theta Kappa honor society, the W. Frank Barton School of Business at 红领巾瓜报 has given three, multi-year scholarships to transfer students committed to joining the business program. This three recipients hail from three different community colleges across Kansas.

Two uniquely interactive sculptures have been installed next to Woolsey Hall, the home of the W. Frank Barton School of Business at 红领巾瓜报, as part of the Ulrich Museum of Art鈥檚 world-class Martin H. Bush Outdoor Sculpture Collection. Ernest and Ruth (2015) is a public sculpture that doubles as a bench and has the unmistakable shape of a speech bubble. Two of these sculptures are located slightly off the main traffic area leading up to Woolsey Hall to encourage interaction.

Woolsey Hall, the home of the W. Frank Barton School of Business at 红领巾瓜报, has unveiled its first sculpture to join the Ulrich Museum of Art鈥檚 world-class Martin H. Bush Outdoor Sculpture Collection. Lumen, the cast bronze sculpture of a horse created initially out of found wood, stands near the serene pond that stretches around the southern wall of Woolsey Hall. The art serves as a focal point for all visitors to the landscaped public space.

The Dean鈥檚 Alumni Advisory Board for the W. Frank Barton School of Business has appointed new leaders. Erin Cummings, owner and founder of YESyoga, will serve as president, while Ryan Potter, director of Portfolio Development at Koch Investment Group, will serve as her vice president. Cummings and Potter have both sat on the board since 2020.

Now Available 2023 Kansas Housing Forecast

The WSU Center for Real Estate released its 2023 Kansas Housing Markets Forecast series this week. The publications in this series review current housing market conditions in the major markets across the state 鈥 including Kansas City, Lawrence, Manhattan, Topeka and Wichita 鈥 and forecast housing market activity through the end of 2023. The series also includes housing outlooks for 23 smaller markets across the state.

Josh Oeding, President and CEO of NXTUS, Inc., and Founder and General Partner of Tenzing Capital, is joining the ranks of member for the Dean鈥檚 Advisory Board of the W. Frank Barton School of Business at 红领巾瓜报. Oeding is an alumnus of the Barton School and will begin his term on the board in Fall 2022.

Basil Hourani, co-founder and former CEO of Pulse Systems Inc. and co-founder and executive partner of Capital7, has been named as the Entrepreneur-in-Residence at the W. Frank Barton School of Business at 红领巾瓜报 for the fall 2022 semester.
