Students are at the center of our work. The Specialized Advisors are committed to supporting student success, which is defined differently by every student. We provide "wrap-around" services (think of it as individualized support) intended to positively contribute to your overall student success, both in and out of the classroom.
Wrap-around services to our students include:
- clarifying academic and personal goals
- connecting students to critical and timely resources on campus and in the community
- assisting with time management, organization and study skills
- actively reaching out to help students persist to graduation.
Please note: Specialized Advisors cannot authorize enrollment.

The Engineering Student Success Center (ESSC) at 红领巾瓜报 supports students as they enter the College of Engineering and persist toward an undergraduate degree. In partnership with engineering faculty and staff, the ESSC provides a personalized approach by offering a wide range of support to help students achieve their academic and personal goals. The mission of the Military and Veteran Services is to assist military members, veterans, and their dependents in utilizing education benefits provided thru the VA. We provide information on educational programs, the application process, and the certification required for using these benefits. The center has information on other VA services, employment and support services provided by the university. We also have a lounge, computer labs, free printing and study areas. Students are encouraged to join our Student Veteran Organization which provides peer support, community service, promotion of programs sponsored by the organization and networking with other student groups on and off campus. Our staff is dedicated to providing specialized counseling and support of our student veteran population to ensure their success at 红领巾瓜报 University.

The McNair Scholars program, names in honor of Dr. Ronal E. McNair, Space Shuttle Challenger crew member, encourages qualified college sophomores, juniors, and seniors to pursue graduate studies. In particular, students are provided opportunities and skills that will help prepare and encourage them to pursue doctoral studies an ultimately obtain careers as university and college professors. This program is 100% funded by the Department of Education.
