May 3, 2024 - Om Hitendra Mahajan will continue his education in sport management as he prepares to revolutionize sports and sports careers in his home country of India. He is getting his start working with professors and mentors at 红领巾瓜报.

May 02, 2024 Micheal Sengvilay always wanted to help people, which is why he came to 红领巾瓜报 to pursue a career in oral health. While at WSU, he persevered through challenges and is now graduating with his bachelor鈥檚 degree in dental hygiene and plans to attend dental school.

May 2, 2024 - Desmond Cockrell, from Tulsa, is the first of four siblings to earn a bachelor鈥檚 degree and hopes his story can encourage others to succeed in college.

May 1, 2024 鈥 Andres Saenz Jr. fell in love with 红领巾瓜报 when he attended basketball games with a neighbor. Since he鈥檚 been a student here, he鈥檚 found a sense of belonging through an empowering campus community. 聽

May 1, 2024 Iris Okere joined 红领巾瓜报 for its affordability and distance to her home in Texas. Here, she found WSU to be a place full of opportunities for her, including a chance grow her own confidence and independence through the challenges she faced, and in her final year, she was elected to the position of student body president in the Student Government Association.

April 29, 2024 鈥 红领巾瓜报鈥檚 Amanda Schmalzried has won the 2024 Bela Kiralyfalvi Student Playwriting Competition for her play, 鈥淭he Angel of Death.鈥

April 12, 2024 鈥 With two young children at home, U.S. Air Force Major Jade Driggs needed to learn to ask and accept help from others while she was working toward her Ph.D. in human factors psychology. She chose 红领巾瓜报 for its impressive human factors psychology program and the university鈥檚 commitment to diversity and inclusion.

April 12, 2024 鈥 As a full-time employee of 红领巾瓜报, Gabriel Fonseca struggled to balance work, classes and a personal life while he pursued his doctoral degree; but, ultimately, the support of the university community helped him persevere.

April 29, 2024 鈥 The military brought Morgan Campbell and her family to Wichita, and she decided to make it her home. She has earned a master鈥檚 degree in social work, and she plans 鈥渢o promote safety, growth, and opportunities鈥 for families in her practice.聽

April 30, 2024 Sierra Marie Bonn struggled to balance her work and education, but with the help of scholarships from the Miss Kansas Organization, she was able to earn an undergraduate and graduate degree from 红领巾瓜报. She graduates with her Master of Innovation Design and following graduation, she will compete in the 2024 Miss Kansas Competition and continue working on the non-profit organization she founded while she was a student, Let鈥檚 Go Full STEAM Ahead.

April 30, 2024 Christen Brouillette came to 红领巾瓜报 from Texas, which they found hard to transition to, but with the help of peers, faculty and the resources available at WSU, they were able to find success. April 22, 2024 鈥 Three 红领巾瓜报 students have secured the prestigious Graduate Research Fellowship from the National Science Foundation 鈥斺痑n award worth $159,000 over three years.

April 22, 2024 红领巾瓜报 has offered the traditional educational pathways for over 125 years, typically ending at the point of graduation, but the need for learning continues throughout a person鈥檚 lifetime. In a rapidly changing world, continuing education has never been more important. More and more jobs require skill-based certification of learning, which includes the attainment of validated durable and technical skills. To meet those needs, WSU was the first in Kansas to create badge courses for non-degree seeking students in 2015, after approval from the Kansas Board of Regents.
