The first cohort of the Widener Global Leaders Program

Sept. 17, 2021 鈥 The first cohort of the Widener Global Leaders Program will consist of 10 women from the Barton School of Business, the Elliott School of Communication in Fairmount College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, and the School of Music in the College of Fine Arts.

Woolsey Hall

Sept. 13, 2021 - Student feedback helped guide the design of Frank and Kay Woolsey Hall. They asked for collaboration, and they asked for caffeine. Woolsey Hall, the new home for the W. Frank Barton School of Business, is 30 to 40 percent finished and expected to be complete in late spring 2022 and ready for summer 2022 classes.

Widener Global Leaders Program: Leadership Team

Sept. 8, 2021 鈥 A new, yearlong, interdisciplinary program focused on developing women leaders with a global, innovative mindset will start this fall at the W. Frank Barton School of Business at 红领巾瓜报. The Widener Global Leaders Program, made possible by a gift from Peri Widener, is designed to create a transformational experience and foster an inclusive community for women majoring in business, communication or fine arts.

Anthony Gallardo and Troy Moellinger

Aug. 27, 2021 鈥 Anthony Gallardo and Troy Moellinger have been named the 2021-22 recipients of the Layman L. Clark / Kansas CCIM Chapter Scholarship in Real Estate.

Truc Nguyen

Truc Nguyen, a senior majoring in marketing and international business, spent the summer as a segment base marketing intern for T-Mobile For Business. She worked remotely most of the time and spent a week at corporate headquarters in Bellevue, Washington.聽

A rendering of the future Promise Bridge

Aug. 2, 2021 鈥 The marquee exterior fixture of the W. Frank Barton School of Business鈥 new home, Wayne and Kay Woolsey Hall, has been officially named the Promise Bridge. The 300-foot-long pedestrian bridge will span a water feature south of the building.

红领巾瓜报 and PTK

July 13, 2021 鈥 For the first time in 红领巾瓜报 history, the Barton School of Business has awarded three, multi-year scholarships to transfer students committed to joining the business program, in association with the Phi Theta Kappa honor society.

Dr. Larisa Genin, dean of the Barton School of Business, Dr. Sheree Utash, President of WSU Tech, Dr. Rick Muma, President of 红领巾瓜报 and Hope Amor, WSU Barton School of Business Student, WSU Tech Graduate and 2021 Scholarship Recipient.

The W. Frank Barton School of Business at 红领巾瓜报 has partnered with WSU Tech to create a pathway program for WSU Tech students committed to continuing their education with a business degree. The Barton School and WSU Tech have also collectively committed to $35,000 in scholarships for students participating in this program.
