Upload Test Pools to Blackboard
If you have a test pool from a publisher or one that you have already created--either
through a test generator or Excel document--you can upload/import them directly into
Blackboard using the upload feature.
*Please note: Test Pools must be in specially formatted files. Files not in an acceptable format will be rejected by the Blackboard system. If you do not have a test pool file from a publisher and want to create your own, consider using the Respondus Test Builder 4.0 tool available for download through MyWSU.
Step 1-- Login and Access Your Class
Login to Blackboard and access your Course.
Step 2-- Go to Test, Surveys, and Pools
Locate the Control Panel on the left side of your screen, under your course menu.
Expand the Course Tools option.
Scroll down and select Tests, Surveys, and Pools.
Step 3-- Select Import Pool
Select Pools from the options available.
Select Import Pools.
Browse your computer for the pool file and click "Open". *This must be a specially formatted file specifically designed to be uploaded as a pool.
Select "Submit".
You will be redirected to the "Complete" page, use the "Ok" button in the bottom right
corner to navigate back to the Pool tool where your pool should be listed.
Step 4-- Review and Revise Your Questions
Use the dropdown arrow next to the title of your newly added pool, and select Edit.
This will open the Pool Canvas where you can review, edit, and add questions.
Review the questions and use the dropdown arrow next to the question text to edit and revise questions as needed. *Note: Points do not need to be adjusted in this section as you can adjust points when pools are added to a test.
Now that the pool is created and edited, advance to the training on how to create a test using a pool.
