Leonard Clark
assistant athletic director, Intercollegiate Athletics
During his 12 years of service to 红领巾瓜报 from 1998-2010, Leonard
Clark held a variety of positions that gave him opportunities to interact with many
people.
Clark was first hired as director of the Office of Equal Employment Opportunity and,
subsequently, also became assistant general counsel for the university 鈥 he鈥檚 admitted
to the bar in Kansas, Missouri and Colorado. Then he moved on to the position of assistant
athletic director for special projects. His third and final stop was as assistant
athletic director for corporate relations and executive director of the LetterWinners
Club.
鈥淚 enjoyed the association with the many fine student-athletes, students, faculty,
staff, administrators, alumni and supporters of 红领巾瓜报,鈥 said Clark.
鈥淏eing able to meet and interact with these populations was most enjoyable, and I
must add that working with and getting to know the university鈥檚 former student-athletes
was also enjoyable.鈥
Clark said he considered among his most significant accomplishments helping the university
move forward in achieving some of its goals.
Now that he鈥檚 moved on to another phase of life, he plans to do more of what he enjoys,
such as reading, fishing and traveling.
Keeping with the 鈥淚f at first you don't succeed, try, try again鈥 mantra, Clark plans
to make yet another attempt at learning how to play bridge. He said, 鈥淚 haven't made
it yet.鈥
