Proctored Testing
Student success and persistence is a top priority at 红领巾瓜报. That means learning environments need to be usable, equitable, inclusive, and sustainable for everyone.
Current students can use the Office of Student Accommodations & Testing (OSAT) to take make-up exams, accommodated exams (for those who are registered with OSAT), distance exams, certification exams (such as CLEP, DANTES, etc.) and more. We also offer proctored services for exams required in distance courses and for certification and licensure examinations.

Exam Accommodations for Students Registered with OSAT
To ensure accessibility, it is the responsibility of students to request accommodations through the Office of Student Accommodations & Testing, the responsibility of instructors to fulfill the accommodations request for the student, and our responsibility to be a resource to facilitate the testing process.
Exam Taking Process
- Notify your instructor in advance that you would like to utilize Proctored Testing
through the Office of Student Accommodations & Testing.
- Instructors will submit details through the Test Information Form.
- All exams require an appointment with the Office of Student Accommodations & Testing.
Students must schedule the appointment.
- Even if you are receiving accommodations, you must make an appointment and remind your instructor to send exams.
- Register and schedule your exam through to secure a testing appointment time.

- Check our test pricing guide to see examination fees. No fees will be charged to students registered for accommodations who are requiring accommodated exams. Fees are subject to change without notice.
- Review testing guidelines set forth by your instructor, including permitted items, etc.
- Review OSAT's Proctored Testing Policy you are responsible for knowing and understanding the policies.

- Monday-Friday: 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

Arriving to the Proctored Testing location:
- Report to the Office of Student Accommodations & Testing at least 5 minutes before your scheduled appointment.
- Bring your WSU ID or government-issued ID (State License, Military ID or Passport) for verification.
- Turn off all electronic devices and remove watches before entering the testing location.
- Food and drinks are prohibited within the testing location.
- No other items may be brought into the testing location, unless specified by your instructor.
Checking In:
- Please check in with the testing coordinator, assigned staff member, or proctor in the testing location.

- Effective Oct. 3, 2022: The Office of Student Accommodations & Testing will scan each examinee with a metal detector wand prior to entering the examination room. This process has been established to verify that no electronic devices are being brought into the room. Examinees requesting to opt-out of the wanding for medical or safety reasons (such as pregancy, inserted medical devices, etc.) must request this accommodation through our office at least one week prior to the exam. Examinees who refuse to be wanded without an approved accommodation, will be required to .
- The testing coordinator, assigned staff member, or proctor will confirm your identity with your WSU ID or government-issued ID.
- You will be given instructions associated with your examination and check any permitted items, such as your calculator.
- You will be directed to the examination room and to the designated seat.
At Your Seat:
- Follow instructions provided on the examination.
- Start your exam.
- Complete and submit your exam according to your examination's instructions.
Checking Out:
- Upon completing and submitting your exam, make sure you gather your personal belongings and permitted items.
- The testing coordinator, assigned staff member, or proctor will finalize your check out and will let you know if you need anything else or answer OSAT-related questions.
- Exit quietly as others may be taking examinations at that time.
