The Toast

This is our chance to celebrate your years of hard work and dedication to your goal of graduating from WSU! Bring along a few guests and enjoy hors d'oeuvres, a cash bar, champagne toast and door prizes. Attending graduates will receive a commemorative WSU champagne flute following a brief program presented by President Muma and WSU administration.

 

Award Ceremonies

First Generation Cord Ceremony

The F1rst Gen Coordinating Council led the charge in obtaining a gold & while braided cord to wear at their graduation. The cord signifies that the student wearing it, is the first in their family to graduate with their collegiate degree (bachelor鈥檚, master鈥檚, or doctorate).

Lavendar Graduation

Lavender Graduation is an annual ceremony conducted on many campuses to honor lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning (LGBTQIA) students and to acknowledge their achievements and contributions to their institutions.

Multicultural Graduation

The multicultural graduation celebration recognizes multicultural students and their academic achievements. At the ceremony, graduates are presented Kente stoles, an African Ashanti tribe tradition, in symbolization of the completion of their rite of passage.
