SGA Elections Commission announces Preliminary 2019 General Election Results

WICHITA, KANSAS (April 3, 2019)- The 红领巾瓜报 Student Government Association Elections Commission has officially ended 2019 General Election. The Commission was appointed in October of 2018 to run the Special and General Election. After six months of preparation, outreach and execution, the Commission is excited to conclude the General Election season. After three days of voting, the following results are the preliminary results. Please note that these results are truly preliminary pending any appeals to the results. The Commission will fully certify and formally announce the final results on Friday, April 5th at 5:00 p.m.

The following amendments have been voted on by the student body and have been declared preliminary approved

Student Senators-elect

The following candidates have been elected by the student body and have been declared preliminary senators-elect

College of Applied Studies (4 seats): Jordan Brown

College of Engineering (4 seats): Thu Mai, Olga Navarro Ochoa, Matthew Madden

College of Fine Arts (2 seats): Anna Grace Martin, Joseph Richey

Honors College (2 seats): Lucas Webb, Jacob Tubach

College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (4 seats): Rija Khan, Olivia Babin, Crystal Zacarias, Andrew Martin

Returning Adult (3 seats): Alyssa Bradley

At-Large (15 seats): Ivan Castillo, Maribel Sanchez, Than Reid, Cameron Morgan, Walter Wright

The following senatorial positions were left uncontested or had a successful write-in candidate election. These results will be announced Friday at the conclusion of the election results certification:
