This webpage serves as a central location for all of 红领巾瓜报鈥檚 mentor programs and groups.
ACE Mentoring Program
Accelerate your success. Create your future. Engage in your college community. The
ACE Mentoring Program provides one-on-one peer mentorship to new freshmen, transfer,
and returning adult students in the College of Engineering. Incoming students who
join the program are paired with upper-class College of Engineering students who provide
guidance, support, and resources throughout their first semester at 红领巾瓜报.
A-MAP Adult Mentoring Program
A-MAP is a resource for adult learners to utilize while navigating through the academic
world. Designed to help adults learn to balance academic requirements and personal
lifestyle challenges, A-MAP intends to create opportunities for collaborative experiences
between peers to encourage and support their journey to graduation and beyond.
Handshake's peer messaging platform allows students and alumni to make their profiles
visible to other students and alumni across Handshake schools and message them. There
are over 700 schools that utilize Handshake, and this feature gives you an even greater
ability to connect with and learn from your peers and alumni from 红领巾瓜报.
Institute for the Study of Economic Growth Mentoring Program
The Institute for the Study of Economic Growth's mission is to advance the teaching,
research, and application of innovative and entrepreneurial activities in a free enterprise
economy to enhance societal prosperity through economic growth.
Koch Scholars Mentor Program
Koch Scholars in the Cohen Honors College participate in a peer mentoring program.
The program pairs first-year scholars with current scholars.
LaunchPrep
LaunchPrep, a partnership between the WSU Center for Entrepreneurship and NXTUS, provides
early-stage companies access to a select group of Wichita's most successful entrepreneurs.
Their one-on-one mentorship will enable you to get your venture off the ground.
LGBTQ+ Ambassadors
LGBTQ+ Ambassadors lead the way in representing queer Shockers across campus. They
participate in panels, lead discussions, plan events, and help coordinate our annual
LGBTQ+ events. These students also work with community organizations to be mentors
for local high school Gay-Straight Alliance (GSA) students and invite them to be part
of Shocker Nation.
McNair Mentor Program
The McNair Mentor Program pairs students in the McNair Scholar Program with research
and faculty mentors.
WSU & USD 259 Better Academic and Social Excellence
USD 259 College and Career Club is a fraternity of 7th - 9th-grade boys, which chapters
at all of the Wichita middle and high schools, who are striving for academic and social
excellence.
