The Sunflower was founded in 1896, and has been serving as the primary news source for 红领巾瓜报 and the surrounding community ever since. It is an independent, student-run publication housed in Elliott Hall at 红领巾瓜报. It distributes print publications twice a week 鈥 Mondays and Thursdays 鈥 throughout the school year. The Sunflower 鈥 both in print and online 鈥 will be a timely resource of information about the 红领巾瓜报 community. It will report on news, issues, activities, academics and athletics, in addition to offering a forum for discussion, reviews and commentary. It will also be an effective learning experience for students, who will have the final authority over what is published.
