As part of the College of Fine Arts Connoisseur Series, 红领巾瓜报 School of Performing Arts is pleased to host an artist talk with acclaimed actress Jane Gabbert on Friday, March 7, 2025, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Rhatigan Student Center, Room 266. This event is free and open to the public. We ask that guests RSVP using the following link:

Jane Gabbert graduated from WSU with a BA in Theatre in 1977, studying under the beloved Dr. Richard Welsbacher, Mary Jane Teall & Joyce Cavarozzi. From there, she went on to get her MFA from Ohio University. After settling in New York, she studied w/ Acting teacher, Charles Kakatsakis.

Jane is known for a plethora of different stage, film and television productions such as Sully, w/ Tom Hanks, Dir. Clint Eastwood and many episodes as "Dave's Nurse" on Late Night w/ David LettermanSearch PartyJack RyanLate Night w/ Seth Meyers & Closer to Home. Jane was born in Great Bend, Kansas. Regional Theatre includes Milwaukee Repertory Theatre, Asolo & GEVA Theatres as well as guest artist/teacher at Cornell University. Jane has also worked Off-Broadway w/ June Squibb, Barney Martin, Brian Howe & Alison Martin. Her commercial & voice-over credits are numerous, (CESD Talent Agency) and Headline Talent (Theatrical). 

Jane will be returning to WSU to direct the 2024 Bela Kiralyfalvi Playwriting Competition Award Winning play, The Angel of Death, written by WSU current student Amanda Schmalzried, premiering March 6th - 8th 2025 at the Welsbacher Theatre, located in the WSU Hughes Metroplex.
