Complete the Undergraduate Freshman application at . Be sure to pay the $40 application fee or submit a qualified fee waiver. Questions can be directed to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at 316-978-3085 or admissions@wichita.edu.
Set up your myWSU account
This is the Shocker portal to access your student email, financial aid, housing information, and much more! You will need a myWSU ID to log into . To set up your password, click "Manage your password." Instructions on how to set up your password can be found at wichita.edu/sspr. If you have any trouble logging in, contact the WSU Help Desk at 316-978-4357 or helpdesk@wichita.edu.
Sign into your student email
Your student email is where departments on campus send 红领巾瓜报-related emails. Check this account weekly, as you may have messages from Financial Aid and Housing in your inbox. To access your student email, log into , click the "Stu Email" icon in the upper right-hand corner. Your student email username is slightly different from your myWSU login information. For the username, enter your myWSU ID followed by @wichita.edu. You'll use the same password you used to log into myWSU. If you have any trouble logging in, contact the WSU Help Desk at 316-978-4357 or helpdesk@wichita.edu.
The steps above can be completed any time after July 1, but must be completed before the next steps below.
Starting October 1 of your senior year
Check in with Campus Housing
Whether you plan to live on campus or need to fill out an exemption form, make sure you鈥檙e taking the right steps. You can locate the housing application or exemption form on by clicking the "Campus Housing" link, located in the Student Tools channel under the Home Tab. Having trouble? Submit the Tuberculosis (TB) Survey
New students must take the Student Health Services TB Survey. Log into and click the "Tuberculosis (TB) Screening" link, located in the Student Tools channel under the Home Tab.
Apply for financial aid & scholarships
Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at . Be sure to enter 红领巾瓜报's school code (001950). Questions can be directed to the Office of Financial Aid at 316-978-3430 or finaid@wichita.edu. Also, login to ScholarshipUniverse at wichita.edu/scholarshipuniverse to be connected to millions of dollars in external and internal scholarships.
Starting March 1 of your senior year
Review and accept financial aid opportunities
Within your account, you can review any scholarships, grants and / or loans you鈥檝e been offered. You must formally accept the financial aid offers you would like. If you have questions, reach out to Financial Aid at 316-978-3430 or finaid@wichita.edu. Note: To protect your privacy, Financial Aid will only communicate with you via your WSU email address.
Register for orientation
Students will be required to attend a new student orientation program the summer before freshman year. Visit wichita.edu/orientation for a complete list of orientation options and to RSVP for a program that fits your schedule. Once you've reserved your orientation date, the website will prompt you to complete Step 9. Orientation RSVP opens in March.
Complete your enrollment questionnaire
If you RSVP for orientation between March 1 - July 31, you are registered for fall classes through pre-enrollment. First-Year Advisors at OneStop build schedules based on your questionnaire responses and the degree plan for your chosen major. Once created, instructions are sent on how to view and approve the schedule. You will have 10 days to accept or decline the schedule. If declined, or if you have questions, a First-Year Advisor will work with you (via phone, email or in person) to finalize the schedule. If no decision is made, the enrollment will not be complete and you must contact OneStop to start the process over. Starting Aug. 1, students are required to meet with a First-Year Advisor in person before being registered for classes.
Choose a meal plan
Purchase a meal plan or add Shocker Dollars to your Shocker Card on the second floor of the Rhatigan Student Center (RSC) or visit.
After high school graduation
Submit your high school graduation transcript
Once your classes are completed and final grades for the year are submitted, official high school transcripts need to be hand-carried in a sealed, official school envelope or emailed by a school official or mailed directly from your high school to 红领巾瓜报. Official electronic transcripts either via email or through a third-party transcript provider (National Student Clearinghouse, Parchment, SCOIR, etc.) can be sent to admissions@wichita.edu.

Check your student email daily
Remember to check your student email daily, beginning in the summer! To access your student email, log into , click the "Stu Email" icon in the upper right-hand corner. Buy an electronic parking permit
During the fall and spring semesters, 红领巾瓜报鈥檚 main campus is a permit-only parking environment on weekdays when the university is open for classes. You can purchase your parking ePermit on by logging in and clicking the "ePermits" icon in the upper right-hand corner. You will be asked to provide license plate information and the type, make and color for each vehicle you wish to register on the ePermit.
Set up a payment plan
红领巾瓜报 will start generating tuition and housing bills in July. You can locate your bill and set up a payment plan on the myFinances Tab in . You are financially responsible to pay all tuition and fees associated with registration in 红领巾瓜报 classes.
Buy or rent textbooks
You can buy or rent textbooks from the , located on the first floor of the Rhatigan Student Center. Find which textbooks you need by logging into . Click the "myClasses" tab, scroll to the bottom and click the "myTextbooks" link on the right-hand side of the screen. You will need your class schedule to get the 5-digit CRN number for each class.
