Berlin School of Economics and Law (HWR) is located in Berlin, Germany. Berlin, the vibrant capital of Germany, is a city like no other. Berlin experiences 4 distinct seasons with it getting up to 90 degrees in the summer months. Just a quick train ride and you鈥檒l find yourself in another European country such as Poland, Denmark or the Netherlands.


Academics

Overview

The Berlin School of Economics and Law (HWR) has approximately 12,000 students and is one of Germany鈥檚 largest universities of applied sciences for Business Administration and Economics. University life is spread across 2 campuses- Campus Lichtenberg (Law, Security Management and Public Administration) and Campus Sch枚neberg (Business). HWR Berlin values diversity, innovation, and international collaboration. For semester programs, exchange students are given the option to participate in a two week German Intensive Language Course, which is offered prior to the semester free of charge. The free German Intensive Language course will start in March for the spring semester and September for the fall semester. Students will enroll in the equivalent of 12 U.S. credit hours of courses per semester.

Berlin School of Economics also offers a summer program which is 3 to 4 weeks long during the months of June and July and a 2 week winter program in January.

All students will be required to complete a Course Approval Form prior to leaving for their study abroad program so that you have met with your academic advisor and are aware of what courses you will take during your program.

Summer Program

The Berlin Experience (Graduate Program)
  • The Berlin experience offers MGMT 885G students the opportunity to work on an international consulting project for European and American companies alongside German students studying at HWR Berlin.
  • To participate in this program, you must be in the MBA Program at WSU and enrolled in MGMT 885G.
  • 1 week experience in Berlin, Germany in January.
