Applied learning at 红领巾瓜报

At 红领巾瓜报, applied learning is everything. In fact, every degree we offer has a guaranteed applied learning or research experience built right into it equipping you with the relevant skills and experience to make you workforce ready before graduation.

Inside the Program

Older adults benefit from student-led exercise classes through 红领巾瓜报

Highly trained graduate, practicum and undergraduate internship students are using their skills to lead exercise classes for older adults in the community.

The program is called WellREP and is an evidence-based, progressive exercise class specially designed for older adults.  

More than 150 older adults are served at 10 locations in the Wichita area.

Curriculum

The minor in aging studies consists of 12 credit hours. You'll start with the basics of aging studies and select 9 additional hours in a variety of areas related to the study of aging.

The increasing aging population affects all areas of society from medical care to social and community services. The broad-scale effects touch the lives of every living person. A minor in aging studies helps you to address policy and well-being of older adults to protect their interests.
