Honors Hour Recap
Yesterday, over 30 students attended the first Honors Hour of the semester! They heard about different undergraduate research and leadership opportunities including Undergraduate Research & Creative Activity grants, First Year Research Experience in STEM, and the Lead for Tomorrow Leadership Academy. Koch Scholars Dinner
The Koch Scholars kicked off the year with their annual Koch Scholars dinner at the president鈥檚 house. This event welcomes our new class of scholars to campus and provides them an opportunity to meet faculty, staff and other Koch Scholars. The scholars look forward to the dinner every year. Thank you President Golden, Provost Muma, Dr. Genin, Dr. Livesay and member of the Koch Scholars selection committee for a great evening.
Free printing & how to utilize it here in the Honors College!
Free printing is one of the many perks of being an Honors Student here at Wichita State. If you are an honors student looking to take advantage of this privilege come to the Honors College located in the ground level of Shocker Hall anytime between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Located in this space are multiple computers. Log into any one of them using your MyWSU ID and password, and from there you will automatically be connected to our printer in the lounge.

New Honors Option Agreement Process!
The Honors Option agreement has been changed to a remote friendly format. Student and faculty now submit separate forms which don't require an in person meeting. Honors Option Agreements allow a student to make a non-Honors course into one. Student and faculty work together to build the Honors content. For more information or to submit a form please visit

Constitution Day activities address U.S. Constitution, 红领巾瓜报 Constitution
The rights to free speech, petition and peaceably assembly are just a few of the key aspects of 红领巾瓜报鈥檚 annual observance of Constitution Day.
The coordinator of the activities, Neal Allen, department chair and associate professor of political science, views events such as these as opportunities to reinforce the university鈥檚 role in upholding our nation鈥檚 democracy, providing an educational aspect, and allowing for community engagement: 鈥淲e are excited to have presentations from WSU students, WSU faculty, and some of our community partners like Wichita City Councilman Brandon Johnson, Sedgwick County Republican Chair Dalton Glasscock, and Joy Eakins from the Wichita Chamber of Commerce.鈥
Constitution Day recognizes the signing of the U.S. Constitution on Sept. 17, 1787. All events are free and open to the public and will be available via Zoom. The Constitution Day website will have detailed information soon. Sponsored by Dr. John Young and Kathleen Moran.
