We invite you to a virtual information session to learn more about undergraduate research and leadership opportunities. If you find yourself curious about how you can do more meaningful work in Honors, tune in to learn answers to questions like:
- How do I get involved in FYRE: First Year Research Experience in STEM?
- What is Undergraduate Research & Creative Activity and how might I get funding for collaborative research?
- What is the Lead for Tomorrow Leadership Academy
Every student who attends this session will be entered into a drawing for Honors College swag. One winner will be randomly selected at the end!

Apply now to get involved in research as part of the First-Year Research Experience (FYRE) in STEM
The Cohen Honors College is excited to accept applications to participate in the First Year Research Experience (FYRE) in STEM program. The mission of the FYRE program is to introduce research to first-year undergraduates in a practical and accessible way.
Students selected for the FYRE program will be required to enroll in an introductory research seminar course that exposes them to research methods and are matched with research positions in WSU labs actively involved in scholarly STEM research. Applications will be accepted until Oct. 1.
Learn more about the First-Year Research Experience (FYRE) in STEM program at the Honors Hour at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, on Zoom, or at the information session led by Moriah Beck at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9, on Zoom. Register at wichita.edu/fyre.

New Honors Option Agreement Process!
The Honors Option agreement has been changed to a remote friendly format. Student and faculty now submit separate forms which don't require an in person meeting. Honors Option Agreements allow a student to make a non-Honors course into one. Student and faculty work together to build the Honors content. For more information or to submit a form please visit
