I. Call to Order
President Steven Skinner called the meeting to order at 3:38pm. President Skinner
announced that the meeting would be abbreviated so that all interested senators could
attend the open forum with our first presidential candidate.
II. Informal Statements and Proposals 鈥 none
III. Approval of the Minutes
The minutes of the March 26, 2012, meeting of the Faculty Senate were approved with
a single correction of a date in Section IV, part 3 from May 3 to May 25.
IV. President鈥檚 Report
President Skinner encouraged all senators to participate in as many of the presidential
search activities as possible, and to make their views known in the surveys immediately
after each candidate鈥檚 visit. He reminded the Senate that there would be a special
meeting of the senate Tuesday (April 17) to develop a unified evaluation of the candidates
to submit to the Search Committee prior to their final meeting the morning of April
18. Location of the meeting will be emailed to all senators.

VI. New Business 鈥 Patricia McDonnell, Director of the Ulrich Museum of Art, reported on the activities
of the museum and sought faculty feedback to assist in the development of the new
five-year strategic plan for the museum.
