The Academic Resources Conference starts today
The Academic Resources Conference (ARC) starts today. All events are held in Zoom except the LinkedIn Learning challenges, which are in LinkedIn Learning. To join a session, simply click the zoom link at the appropriate time. Many of our sessions have myTraining signups available, but most do not require it. Remember that we also have the ARC Big Read for 2021, and several of our sessions are associated with different chapters of our book. But don’t let that worry you if you haven’t read the book! No pre-reading is required.

WSU Bike Share is back
The bikes are back! Now, you can use the bike-sharing system from ϱ’s campus as far west as the Sedgwick County Park and all throughout the city. There is no limit on travel distance. The service provider for Bike Share ICT changed from Zagster to Tandem Mobility, with upgraded bikes and an improved app provided by Movatic.
Office of Diversity and Inclusion is temporarily closed, but remote services remain open
Beginning today (Monday, Jan. 11), the Office of Diversity and Inclusion will temporarily be closed until further notice. In-person services, such as the computer lab and free printing, will be unavailable at this time.
However, remote services, such as specialized advising appointments and Zoom Lounge, will remain open during regular business hours.

Submit your holiday greetings requests to ITS telecommunications
Monday, Jan. 18, is a holiday, and most departments on campus will be closed. Now is the time to submit your request if your department needs a holiday greeting activated on your calling-tree or call distribution number.
Please submit the request at wichita.edu/services/telecom. Choose “Telephone Request” as the requested service, then choose “Programming” as the telephone service. Please ensure to include all details in the description.

Classroom Technology Training Schedule for spring 2021
Classrooms across campus are equipped with uniform technology and media equipment. Access is available to faculty and staff with consistent keys for most classrooms that are issued during a short training session. We encourage you to bring your personal laptop to test in the room during training. If there are additional needs or questions, please call 978-3588.
Faculty are encouraged to verify that their assigned rooms have the technology they need prior to the start of the semester.

Turn your lunchtime into a fun time at the Shocker Sports Grill & Lanes! Guests can enjoy free pool from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday-Friday in January. No purchase necessary. Availability may vary due to group reservations and special events. Masks are required if not actively eating or drinking. Please be sure to maintain social distancing between yourself and other guests.
Employees receive 10% discount on Community Education classes
Community Education is offering many new courses this spring semester, with a 10% discount for WSU employees. Certain courses are available in person while others will be online. Due to COVID-19 concerns, adjustments have been made to content delivery to ensure students' safety and comfort level in participating in these classes. In-person class capacity will be limited to the current state and local guidelines on gatherings and social distancing and in person registrations will be accepted on a first come basis.
