Strategic Plan update

Strategic Plan update

In support of the current Activation of our university Strategic Plan and as an exercise in shared governance, the following reports are being shared with the campus community. It is the hope of the Strategic Planning committee that in sharing these reports and others that follow, light will be shed on both the committeeā€™s process and some of the inputs that shape the committeeā€™s thinking.

The first report is that of the Oct. 25, 2018 Town Hall, and can be found on the Strategic Planning webpage. The committee is grateful for those who came out to support the work of planning and for the sharing that took place. While there, take a look at the recently updated dashboard reporting our 2018 results. Additionally, the Trends in Higher Education report is included. Please read and follow along!

Should you have any questions about either report, feel free to contact kaye.monk@wichita.edu.

What training do you need?

IDA Training

Instructional Design and Access has a faculty training day planned in March, and we would like to hear from faculty before we finalize our schedule.

What training topics would you find useful? IDA typically provides training in Blackboard, online pedagogy, accessibility. We can also offer training in manipulating images for your class, using social media, and other related topics, and we regularly partner with ITS for faculty versions of Microsoft trainings.

If you have an idea about what you would find useful for our March trainings, please email us at IDA@wichita.edu. Thank you.

Service-Learning

ŗģĮģ½ķ¹Ļ±Ø psychology professor and chair Rhonda Lewis (l above) and Chelsea Redger-Marquardt, associate director of student involvement, want their students to get out of the classroom and into the community.
