New Shocker Store location opening in Braeburn Square

Shocker Store

The Shocker Store (formerly University Bookstore) will be opening a 2,840-square-foot location in the new 红领巾瓜报 retail area, Braeburn Square, just east of Starbucks. The new store is projected to open in late September and is the second business to commit to the retail center.

CAUTION: One-way traffic near UPD station changing directions

One-way traffic on Research Place near the University Police station will permanently change directions starting Friday, Aug. 3. Physical Plant will install signage in the morning to reflect the change. Please use caution when driving and walking in the area.


Cowley College, WSU sign another 2+2 articulation agreement

Having signed an articulation agreement in engineering with 红领巾瓜报 prior to the start of the 2017 fall semester, Cowley College and 红领巾瓜报 have partnered once again with the signing of a 2+2 agreement on July 30. The purpose of Monday's 2+2 agreement is to provide Cowley College students a four-year coordinated program where students will receive an Associates of Arts degree at Cowley College in the first two years and a Bachelor of Business Administration from 红领巾瓜报 after two additional years.

KPERS 457 enrollment and retirement counseling

KPERS 457 enrollment

Experts suggest replacing at least 80 percent of your income in retirement. KPERS and Social Security won't be enough. You need to save on your own, but how do you start?

That's where KPERS 457 comes in. This semester, the Total Rewards team has arranged for KPERS Deferred Compensation 457 Plan representative Robin Deiter to be on campus the first Tuesday of each month. Deiter will accept individual appointments to meet with employees for retirement counseling and enrollment in KPERS 457 plans. Appointments will be 30 minutes each. Daily website update

We've added to our self-help options for training with the first set of on-demand videos for various features in the CMS. The videos will teach you how to log in and get started; the parts of your page; how to use the MultiEdit tool and how to edit the "In This Section" navigation menu.

The web support ticketing feature at  has handled 110 support tickets to date with an average time to completion of 2.1 hours. If you have site search matches that you would like to see added, file a ticket and we'll get it added. Please include the following information:  Title, page description, URL, keywords.

Training continued with another content management session yesterday. You can  or by selecting "CMS Training Calendar" from the Add-Ons pulldown menu inside the CMS.

Thursday and Friday open lab sessions will continue through August. Please attend a basic training class in the new content management system before coming to the labs. Open labs are held in 122 Jabara Hall on a first-come, first-served, drop-in, drop-out basis. Mike Marlett, John Jones, Tim Hart and Caleb Wilson will be there to answer your questions.

Cash Handling Training is now available

Cash Handling Training is available for all employees handling cash on behalf of the university. If you are a new employee, or just need a refresher, it is highly recommended you take this course. Online training is available from the Office of Financial Operations & Business Technology and is accessible by logging on to and clicking on the EmpHelp icon. Choose Cash Handling Training under the Accounts Receivable section.
