Finalists for Associate VP for Strategic Enrollment Management to participate in interviews

Three finalists for Associate Vice President for Strategic Enrollment Management will participate in a series of interviews on Wednesday, July 18 and Friday, July 20.  Each candidate will also be available to meet and greet faculty, staff and students at the following times and locations:

LINK(ED) is now ‘The Fuse'

With the College of Education becoming the College of Applied Studies, LINK(ED) saw an opportunity to also change its focus. LINK(ED) is now “The Fuse.”

The Fuse will be the hub for the College of Applied Studies intended to not only facilitate and promote collaboration between the college and the community through service learning, but to ultimately seek inclusion opportunities for those on and off campus. Seeking proposals for the Michael Tilford Conference on Diversity and Multiculturalism

The Michael Tilford Conference on Diversity and Multiculturalism is seeking proposals for breakout sessions at the event on Oct. 22-23 at Fort Hays State University. The conference provides an opportunity for faculty, staff and administrators at the Kansas Board of Regents' institutions to approach diversity in higher education by examining the challenges and opportunities in Kansas.

Breakout sessions runs 50 minutes. The proposal deadline is Friday, Aug. 10.


WSU to host USSEA Regional Conference July 28

Join USSEA for a special community art project during the USSEA Regional Conference. Marie Watt, an American artist whose work draws from history, biography, protofeminism and Indiginous principles, will present a keynote and host a collaborative community workshop as part of her ongoing Sewing Circle projects. No sewing experience is required -- only interest in art and collaboration.

The $40 Community Keynote Pass includes the keynote, workshop, lunch and snack breaks.

Saturday, July 28, at WSU's McKnight Hall

9:30-11 a.m. -- Keynote by Marie Watt – “Setting the Table: How quiet activism can cultivate inclusion, exchange and generosity to create meaningful change”

Noon-1 p.m. -- Lunch with the artist

1:10-5 p.m. -- Sewing Circle workshop with Marie Watt, participants may come and go during the workshop.
