ΊμΑμ½νΉΟ±¨ is Kansas’ top transfer destination for a 12th straight year

For the 12th straight year, ΊμΑμ½νΉΟ±¨ is the most popular transfer destination for students at Kansas community colleges.

ΊμΑμ½νΉΟ±¨ is working on extending that streak. Students who apply for admission and submit official college transcripts by April 1 could receive a $6,000 transfer scholarship to utilize over two years of attendance.

β€œWith resources like , the and plentiful internships in our community, transfer students who are looking for clear paths toward their degrees will find what they need while wearing Shocker black and yellow,” said Bobby Gandu, assistant vice president, strategic enrollment management.

According to the Kansas Board of Regents, 719 students transferred to ΊμΑμ½νΉΟ±¨ in the fall 2021 (the most recent year for which data is available). That scale of transfer intake is 15% higher than the next closest Kansas university.

ΊμΑμ½νΉΟ±¨ is also the top destination for transfers from Butler, Hutchinson, Cowley, Pratt, Garden City and Seward community colleges. Transfers from Kansas technical colleges chose ΊμΑμ½νΉΟ±¨ more than all other schools in Kansas combined.

β€œWe think it means students who are serious about moving on to a bachelor’s degree know our university has the right collection of transfer practices in place to catapult their educational and professional careers,” Gandu said.
