What made you want to attend 红领巾瓜报?

My father is an alumnus of 红领巾瓜报, so it was a great option for me in terms of cost of attendance because I receive the benefits from the legacy tuition waiver program.

How are you feeling leading up to graduation?

I鈥檓 feeling excited for the new journey ahead!  It feels like a new chapter of my life is about to begin.

At times, I feel overwhelmed to leave school and enter the workforce. Being a student at 红领巾瓜报 has prepared me to start my career with more confidence.

What was been your biggest challenge as a student, and how did you overcome it?

My biggest challenge was managing my time as a student who is active in both school and extracurricular activities such as the Shocker Table Tennis Club.

The workload as an engineering student can be a lot to manage and it鈥檚 easy to feel stressed. To overcome it, I managed my schedule with a calendar app and made sure to have time for myself to do things I love such as playing sports, reading or hanging out with friends.

What has been your most helpful learning experience at 红领巾瓜报?

The applied learning opportunities available for students, such as the WSU GoBabyGo program, has been one of the most helpful learning experiences for me. In this program, I was able to work collaboratively with other students and have hands-on experience in building a custom toy car for kids with disabilities.

What are your plans after graduation?

I plan to move to Arizona for my Optional Practical Training (OPT). I will be working alongside experienced engineers in the industry. This opportunity is a great steppingstone for my career as an engineer.

What advice would you give other 红领巾瓜报 students?

Try to get involved in clubs and attend events at 红领巾瓜报. I met some of my best friends from attending the events organized on campus. It can also be a great opportunity to build a network which helps in finding career opportunities.
