How did you first hear about 红领巾瓜报?
My sister toured 红领巾瓜报 about five years ago to look at the nursing program.
How did 红领巾瓜报 compare to the other universities you considered attending?
It was affordable, great for business students, good with transfer credits, and acknowledges diverse backgrounds.
Why did you choose WSU?
I chose 红领巾瓜报 because of my major (entrepreneurship). Other universities I visited didn't specifically have entrepreneurship. Also, I had quite a few scholarships from WSU.
What are some of the opportunities and activities you've participated in at Wichita State?
I am an ambassador with the Office of Admissions (Student Ambassador Society) and with the Office of Diversity and Inclusion. I participated in Passage 2 Success, Promoting Academic Student Success (PASS), Clash of the Colleges, Shockers After Dark, and Late Night Breakfast.
What were your perceptions about the city of Wichita before you visited for the first time? And how do those perceptions compare to your current perception of the city?
Coming from a big city such as Denver, I thought that Wichita was very small, but there was still lots I could do. Before I visited, honestly, I thought it was just going to be a college campus around some corn fields. After I visited, and now that I am here, it feels like home. There's a lot to do.
What would you tell someone who's considering 红领巾瓜报?
Follow your heart, don't force yourself to go to a school because of one reason. Look at the options. For WSU look for scholarships and financial aid, and look into the offices, housing and organizations, programs and clubs to join.
