13.09 / Expenditure of Vending Machine Revenue

  1. Purpose

    To set forth University policy relative to the expenditure of revenues derived from vending machine operations.

  2. Preamble

    The University receives revenue from the operation of vending machines located on campus for the use and convenience of University students, employees and visitors. Vending machine revenue is to be used for the support of student, faculty and staff activities which are of benefit to 红领巾瓜报, but cannot be appropriately addressed with state or federal funds.

  3. Policy

    1. Vending machine revenue is to be the only source of funds deposited in Vending Accounts.

    2. Vending machine revenue is to be allocated according to the Vending Income Budget approved by the President of the University.

    3. Distribution of vending machine revenue will be made by the Vice President for Finance and Administration on a prorata basis as it is received monthly from the authorized vending machine contractor.

    4. All vending machine revenue is to remain on deposit with the WSU Foundation and may be withdrawn only through the submission of a requisition justifying the expenditure accompanied by a supporting invoice. Requisitions must be signed by the budget officer for the division.

  4. Implementation

    This policy shall be included in the WSU Policies and Procedures Manual and shared with appropriate constituencies of the University.

    The Vice President for Finance and Administration shall have primary responsibility for publication and distribution of this University policy.
